The neo-Gothic stadhuis (town hall) was built between 1875 and 1880, and was rebuilt after World War I (1923) in the regional Flemish Renaissance style. In the park at the Oostvesten stands a memorial wall to honor the struggle of Admiral Ronarc'h and French marins fusiliers who defended Diksmuide until November 10th, 1914.
